Couples only?
Therapy is not only for couples.
Relationship therapy was originally conceived to improve any sort of human interaction starting from those we find most difficult: within our family or at work.
A session with your daughter, friend, father... can make things "right" or help you dispense with the negative feelings deriving from an unhealthy relationship.
Our approach to relationship therapy is different than those you might have experienced before.
We tailor a plan on your individual needs and work through the stages of awareness and acceptance, we "stabilise" what we have accomplished, and cyclically deepen the therapeutic intervention until the difficulties "at the bottom" of your issue will be resolved.
We specialise in mixed couples neurotypical/ neurodivergent, and dealing with partners or relatives affected by mental health conditions. We perform risk assessments for abusive relationships.

Pregnancy & surrogacy counselling
Pregnancy is one of life’s most profound journeys, but it is also one that carries emotional, physical, and social challenges. Today, younger generations are more aware of the risks associated with pregnancy and often choose to delay having children in order to focus on career and professional growth. This shift has brought with it new realities, such as egg freezing, fertility treatments, and surrogacy.
At the same time, older generations may also turn to surrogacy, whether due to
medical conditions,
genetic risks, or
autoimmune diseases such as
Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, as a way of protecting the health of their children and families.
At Aletes Mental Health, we provide specialised counselling for couples and families navigating these complex decisions. Our work offers support in:
- processing the emotional impact of fertility choices and challenges,
- preparing for pregnancy or surrogacy and managing associated anxieties,
- supporting couples through shifting timelines and expectations,
- strengthening family communication across generations,
- building resilience and maintaining a strong sense of identity and purpose throughout the journey.
Whether it is preparing for parenthood later in life, facing the uncertainties of surrogacy, or balancing family hopes with medical realities, our counselling offers a safe and compassionate space to explore feelings, reduce stress, and support relational growth.
It is important to remember that surrogacy is still illegal in some countries and, in certain places, even considered a universal crime. While we cannot provide legal counselling and we do not endorse paid surrogacy, we are committed to offering emotional and psychological support for individuals and families navigating this journey.
