Financial Trauma & Counselling

We live in a world shaped by money and by our relationship with it. To ignore this reality would be naïve. Financial trauma affects us far more deeply than most people realise: it influences our choices, our relationships, and our sense of self-worth.

True personal growth and success cannot be achieved without exploring our financial mind - the beliefs, patterns, and emotions that drive the way we handle money.

At Aletes Mental Health, we offer psychoeducation and tailored interventions in this relatively new but essential area of mental health. Drawing on behavioural science, our work helps clients to:

  • recognise unhelpful financial patterns,

  • regulate emotions linked to money,

  • separate feelings from decisions,

  • act from balanced, thoughtful choices rather than fear or impulse,

  • pursue greater financial harmony and wellbeing.

Money is never just about numbers. It is about meaning, safety, identity, and dignity. By addressing financial trauma, we help clients move towards healthier, more grounded lives where both mind and finances work in harmony.
