Couples only?

Therapy is not only for couples.

Relationship therapy was originally conceived to improve any sort of human interaction starting from those we find most difficult: within our family or at work.

A session with your daughter, friend, father... can make things "right" or help you dispense with the negative feelings deriving from an unhealthy relationship.

Our approach to relationship therapy is different than those you might have experienced before.

We tailor a plan on your individual needs and work through the stages of awareness and acceptance, we "stabilise" what we have accomplished, and cyclically deepen the therapeutic intervention until the difficulties "at the bottom" of your issue will be resolved.

We specialise in mixed couples neurotypical/ neurodivergent, and dealing with partners or relatives affected by mental health conditions. We perform risk assessments for abusive relationships.

Asexual relationships counselling

Asexuality is becoming increasingly visible among younger generations, yet it remains a subject that is often misunderstood, stigmatised, or even hidden in long-term relationships. For some, it is a natural and fulfilling orientation; for others, it may emerge over time, creating confusion, shame, or tension within an otherwise successful partnership.

At Aletes Mental Health, we provide counselling for individuals and couples navigating the realities of asexuality. Our aim is to create a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences, whether that means embracing asexuality as part of their identity, understanding how it fits within their relationship, or addressing the emotional impact when partners have different needs.

Counselling in this area focuses on:

  • reducing shame and challenging taboos,

  • exploring identity and self-acceptance,

  • improving communication between partners,

  • finding balance in intimacy and companionship,

  • strengthening relationships beyond sexuality.

Asexual relationships are not less valid or meaningful. With the right support, couples and individuals can cultivate authentic connections that honour both their differences and their shared values.
