Couples only?
Therapy is not only for couples.
Relationship therapy was originally conceived to improve any sort of human interaction starting from those we find most difficult: within our family or at work.
A session with your daughter, friend, father... can make things "right" or help you dispense with the negative feelings deriving from an unhealthy relationship.
Our approach to relationship therapy is different than those you might have experienced before.
We tailor a plan on your individual needs and work through the stages of awareness and acceptance, we "stabilise" what we have accomplished, and cyclically deepen the therapeutic intervention until the difficulties "at the bottom" of your issue will be resolved.
We specialise in mixed couples neurotypical/ neurodivergent, and dealing with partners or relatives affected by mental health conditions. We perform risk assessments for abusive relationships.
The Psychology of Transformation
Christian counselling
Faith can be a powerful source of healing. At its heart, Christianity teaches us to love ourselves and others, a journey of profound compassion and acceptance. For many people, spiritual care is an essential yet often overlooked part of emotional wellbeing.
From 2025, Aletes Mental Health will offer Christian Counselling as a niche service, available upon request to clients who wish to integrate their faith into their therapeutic journey.
This approach has been inspired by the work of
Dr Joshua J. Knabb, particularly his contributions to helping people move beyond
shame and
self-judgement through cultivating spirituality. His
workbook for Christian clients highlights how faith can play a vital role in overcoming inner struggles and fostering
resilience.
Christian Counselling can support clients by:
- integrating spirituality into therapy in a respectful, client-led way,
- reducing shame and self-criticism through a faith-based lens,
- promoting self-acceptance and love of others,
- offering spiritual grounding alongside psychological tools,
- complementing treatments such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, where spiritual care is often missing.
This service is entirely optional and provided only to clients who request it. It is designed to honour each person’s faith journey while supporting their psychological growth.
