Improving perfection
In the last 5 years I worked with athletes of all sorts; from football, boxing and swimming, water polo, horseback riding and golf. I learnt the secrets of archery and alongside my clients I discovered the mental challenges of volleyball and tennis.
Every time, it's a new journey; a journey into a new world, made of passion and science of movement and endurance. There is nothing more satisfying for me than to improve even more what is already considered perfect. That is why I chose to dedicate myself to sport performance enhancement.
I started from show jumping and dressage in the sand arena which I missed as an athlete competing in Italy, and continued from there. In 2019 I took part in a big project of football scouting, and I still cherish the memories of that experience and of those young players who are now professionals.
Dr. Melania Duca
Biopsychoanalysis was first applied to Athletic Performance (BPAP) in 2018 during the Equibridge Project, an initiative directed by Prof. Dr. Melania Duca which aimed to promote an exchange of athletes between Europe and the United Kingdom, competing in the equestrian disciplines and willing to complete the Diploma of Coaching offered by the prestigious British Horse Society.
Since then, BPAP has successfully been applied to counsel athletes of different sports, and martial arts.
As Rebecca Adlington, multiple Olympic, World, Commonwealth and European medallist, says in the video below: helping athletes to "break through their mental limitations" is a real challenge, especially when the performance is affected and requires a recovery intervention.
Improving perfection
In the last nine years, I have worked with athletes across a wide range of disciplines: football, boxing, swimming, water polo, horseback riding, and golf. I learnt the secrets of archery and, alongside my clients, discovered the mental challenges of volleyball and tennis.
Each time, it is a new journey; a journey into a different world, shaped by passion, the science of movement, and the endurance of the human spirit. There is nothing more satisfying for me than to refine what is already considered exceptional. That is why I chose to dedicate myself to sport performance enhancement.
I began with show jumping and dressage in the sand arena, which I once loved as a competitor in Italy, and continued to build from there. In 2019, I took part in a major football scouting project, and I still cherish the memories of that experience and of the young players who have since gone on to become professionals.

As
Rebecca Adlington, multiple Olympic, World, Commonwealth, and European medallist, notes in the video below: helping athletes to
“break through their mental limitations” is a real challenge, particularly when performance is compromised and requires a recovery intervention.
In this video, ITV News misspelt Dr Melania’s name and referred to her as a psychologist instead of a psychotherapist.
